Iroquois Mine UP Experience - Rock Hunting Lesson!
This is truly a one of a kind experience!

Come out to the Iroquois Mine's rock pile and keep what you find! The Iroquois Mine is an old Copper Mine in the Keweenaw. It's no longer in use, but the rock pile is still holds endless finds waiting for you!

You'll have a guide to kick start your hunt and help train your eye to pick the best rocks. We have pricing for individuals and families as well as Rock Clubs. Kids 12 and under always dig for FREE!

Metal detectors are $15 to rent for the day.
​
The experience is $50 per person for all day access! Come and go as you please, just keep your guide informed.

Do you provide tools? What should I bring?
We rent metal detectors for $15 / day. You're welcome to bring your own. They aren't necessary to find something special.

You'll be outside. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, a hat and a bucket to collect your picks. There's no restroom at the mine, but you can come and go as you please for the day just let your guide know.

Can I bring my kids? Dog?
Yes & Yes! Kids love to hunt for rocks. Kids 12 yrs old and under mine for free! Dogs are allowed as long as they friendly and play well with others.
